Rajeev Khandelwal is a popular Indian film actor notable for his versatility and choice of scripts. He has played the harrowed Dr. Aamir Ali in his critically acclaimed 2008 debut film Aamir and powerfully depicted the torn ACP Arvind Mathur who battles his inner demons in Shaitan. Rajeev has also had immense success on television where he has portrayed a variety of powerful roles such as the popular Sujal Garewal in Kahin To Hoga along with Capt. Rajveer Singh Shekhawat in Left Right Left. Rajeev also hosts Sach Ka Saamna which is aired in the U.S.A as The Moment of Truth (U.S. game show). In 2011, Rajeev became the brand ambassador for the National Geographic Channel's show Supercars.

Career

It was Rajeev's childhood dream to become an actor. He was working as a production controller in a Delhi based production house. He had modelled for several brands like LML, Green Label Whisky, Kodak Express and Videocon refrigerators. He appeared in the telefilm Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat from Sony. He made his mark in his feature film debut in Aamir. He was also the host of the Indian reality show Sach Ka Saamna that aired on STAR Plus in 2009. Sach Ka Saamna is the Indian version of U.S reality show The Moment of Truth.His most recent film Shaitan has brought him rave reviews for portraying a character torn between the good and some bad in the occupation that is policing in Mumbai. His next film Soundtrack sees him as DJ Raunak Kaul, a renowned DJ who is affected by Tinnitus and thus losing his hearing while at the peak of his alcohol and drug fuelled success. The film takes strains from the life of Beethoven.

On television, he has played immensely successful roles such as the popular Sujal Garewal in Kahin Toh Hoga, ACP Prithviraj in CID, Varun Awasthi, the RAW Intelligence Officer in Time Bomb 9/11, Captain Rajveer Singh Shikhawat in Left Right Left apart from hosting the show Deal Ya No Deal. Rajeev also hosts Sach Ka Saamna the Indian franchise of The Moment Of Truth. Rajeev is also the brand ambassador for the National Geographic Channel's show Supercars.

Personal life

Rajeev Khandelwal was born on 16 October 1975 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. He tied the knot with girlfriend Manjiri Kamtikar on 7 February 2011.[1] Khandelwal has said that he is an atheist, although he is "not against people who believe in God."[2]
